Chehrta or Chuhrata or Chuhrhawat (चेरता या चुरता या चुरावत) is a subcaste of Kamboj clan and community found in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and other parts of India. Some of people belongs to this Chehrta or Chuhrata or Chuhrhawat subcaste also found in Punjab state of Pakistan. Chehrta or Chuhrata or Chuhrhawat falls under 84 gotra (broad division) of Kamboj caste. Chehrta or Chuhrata or Chuhrhawat sub-caste alongside other Kamboj / Kamboh people belong to the group of Indo-Aryan peoples.
